Build a better first draft.

Create a reusable Bot skill brief, draft a Grok Build permission policy, or walk through a rollout review. Your inputs stay on your device.

Grok Bot skill brief

Turn an under-specified job into a repeatable skill outline. Fill what you know; edit the result before sharing.

Prefer explicit approval gates for external actions, not just role descriptions.

Generated brief

Copy as Markdown, then adapt to your team's actual access and review rules.

Privacy: shareable tool fields are encoded in this page's URL so bookmarks can restore them. Do not enter credentials, customer data, internal secrets, or other sensitive information. Use Reset or clear the URL to remove them from the address bar and browser history.

Grok Build permission policy

Generate a TOML starting point using the documented allow/deny rule shape. This is a policy fragment, not a complete sandbox or security boundary.

Permission mode and sandbox are separate controls. This fragment does not configure a sandbox.
Important: a deny rule wins over an allow, but a narrow deny list is not a complete safety control. Review patterns against current official docs and your environment.

Policy fragment

Official reference: Grok Build permissions. Test rules in a disposable workspace first.

Grok Bot rollout checklist

A local preflight for admins and security reviewers. Tick items to create a shareable, reproducible assessment view.

Use the checklist as a conversation starter, not a compliance certification.

  • Grok Bot's hosted computer is described as one microVM per member; the official Bot docs also say Bots share the computer and files/sign-ins are not isolated per Bot.
  • Connector restrictions and browser/network restrictions are distinct. Confirm both paths for your threat model.
  • Availability and administrator controls depend on plan; use the current official plan matrix rather than a dated pricing summary.
  • Deletion of a Bot does not necessarily remove files/sign-ins from the shared computer. Include source-side session revocation in offboarding.

This toolbox requires no network requests, account, API key, or server. Copy/share links include the current non-sensitive tool settings.

Research-backed field guide

Start with the product you actually have.

Grok Bot and Grok Build are different products with different execution and governance models. These concise notes prioritize primary documentation.

Research method & limits

Prepared from official SpaceXSI/xAI and Cursor documentation checked on 29 October 2026. Product docs are mutable; the date is a snapshot, not a guarantee. This independent guide is not affiliated with or endorsed by xAI, SpaceXAI, Cursor, or Grok. It is educational—not legal, security, procurement, or compliance advice. Where product details conflict or are not clearly documented, verify with the vendor and avoid assuming a feature or attestation exists.
